We are located on the Kern River about 9 miles north of Kernville. We are surrounded by the Sequoia National Forest which puts us uniquely close to our natural setting.
To get here from Bakersfield: travel east on Highway 178 to Lake Isabella, take the 2nd turnoff, and go left across the highway heading north. At Kernville, follow the road as it curves to the right (eastward) and crosses the Kern River. At the T intersection, turn left and follow the road for 9 miles to the Lodge.
From Lancaster/Palmdale/San Bernardino: Go north on I15 to Highway 395, continue north to Kramer Junction and turn left onto Highway 58. Take Highway 58 to Highway 14, then north to Highway 178. Go left (west) on Highway 178 up over Walker Pass and down into the Kern River Valley. Past Weldon, watch for Sierra Way Ave on your right, take Sierra Way Ave (Highway) north around the east side of Lake Isabella to Kernville. You are already on the east side of the River, so keep going north through Kernville to the Lodge.
From Porterville : Take Highway 190 east into the mountains. This is a beautiful drive but quite curvy and long, and will take you up to higher elevations. When you get up and over the top, follow the signs to Johnsondale. Past Johnsondale a few miles, the road will drop elevation quickly and bring you down to the Kern River, which you will follow to the Lodge.
